What's your business, and who are your customers?
C-Suite Advisors offers a primary program for Women Entrepreneurs called CEO School for Women™. This is a virtual learning community for women business owners who are over 45 and committed to building and growing a business they love but who may not know where to begin or what steps to take in which order. Some may even be "Corporate Refugees," like our founder, Nancy Chorpenning, the Original Corporate Refugee.
Tell us about yourself
My commitment to serving women actually began when I became a midlife Peace Corps Volunteer and taught at a girls' technical high school in Papua New Guinea. Although my first career in professional medical information was rewarding, my passion for the need and results of working with women continues to give me energy as I see them revel in their accomplishments and results.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Hands down, the relationships I've built with my clients. I delight in their every accomplishment and learning.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Expectations and knowing what to do and in what order.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Start with a clear Success Destination, aka your Vision.
- Write your plan with the recognition that it is a PRACTICE, not a PRODUCT.
- Understand your Business Model from your customer's perspective.
