Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in business development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Gina Epps, Co-Founder of c & g Consultants, located in Wisconsin Rapids, WI, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

We assist entrepreneurs and business owners with strategic, results-oriented Positioning, accurate representation, increased credibility, and visibility to attract a consistent flow of pre-qualified clients & mutual opportunities, as well as a complete social media package to fit every budget.

Tell us about yourself

I spent 15 years teaching high school health and P.E. outside Chicago before becoming an entrepreneur in the health space. I spent the next ten years learning the cannabis and hemp space, from education to growing for chronic care patients to product development and everything in between. I really learned the value of networking and branding during this time frame. I have built a large social media network (120.000+) on LinkedIn and Facebook. Over the past two years, I have really seen what LinkedIn can do for everyone. My friend and partner Carol A Santella assists successful entrepreneurs with strategic results-oriented Positioning, accurate representation, increased credibility, and visibility to attract a consistent flow of pre-qualified clients & mutual opportunities. Carol has been at it for decades now and has taught me more than I could have ever dreamed of this year. We have combined our skill sets to bring you #candgconsultants, and we couldn't be more proud. My family motivates me daily, as well as the thought of paying it forward.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is who I bring to the table in everything that I do. I am a sector connector, to say the least. I gain equity in companies by doing so.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Consistency is key here. It is such a daily challenge to be a mom, wife, homeschool teacher, and entrepreneur. Time management is my lifesaver but to say it is not a daily challenge would be a lie.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Don't be afraid to fail. It is how we learn, adapt, and grow.
  2. Find a mentor and hold onto them for dear life.
  3. Ask questions. Nobody knows it all. It takes a village in business, the same way it does in raising children.
