What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is a 100% natural Soap Company; customers are ages 12-70. Local business owners, event planners, wholesalers, private labeling.
Tell us about yourself
My name is Betty Teichroeb. I started my business seven years ago, My family has always been very sensitive to chemicals in products, and I wanted to create natural resources for them; I love what I do so much, and I want to make a difference for my customers and bring them joy.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I love it When my customers come back to tell me what a difference my products have made for their whole families and has changed their life.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Some opportunities arise that do not fit with my company; when I get asked to make products with chemicals, I have to say no and set boundaries because I will only stick to natural ingredients. Hard work, long hours, but so rewarding.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Believe in yourself and do what makes you happy.
- Never give up, and don’t be afraid to ask for help from a mentor who has experience.
- Just do it, and don’t hold back.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
I believe this business was meant for me, and as I truly believed in myself, I noticed doors opening up to the path of my dream.
