What's your business, and who are your customers?
Evolve is an executive coaching and corporate health company. We serve everyone from Entrepreneurs to financial institutions to professional sports teams on the basis of holistic human performance.
Tell us about yourself
My interest in human health and optimization came from experiences within special military operations. I was able to learn so much in the realms of physical health, mental health, leadership, and neuroscience and apply it to some of the highest-performing individuals in business and athletics. The biggest motivating factor for me is when I get to see a radical positive change in those I work worth, allowing them to create a deeper connection to life, those around them, and what they do. This motivates me to continue on my optimization journey as well and to lead from the front.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
So far, it has been to be able to greatly improve the performance and satisfaction of teams and individuals within some of the highest-stress industries; this is a very rewarding process.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Often it's being your own self-critic and the uncertainty that comes with entrepreneurship. But this, too, is all part of human growth, and that alone makes the endeavor worthwhile.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Get very clear on the reasons why you want to run your own business.
- Set standards for yourself, hold yourself to those standards, and work with others to find their standards.
- Constantly evaluate your performance, thought patterns, and emotional state. These are what we can control and where we can find the most growth.
