What's your business, and who are your customers?

I own an online bookstore. My customers are anyone who loves to read.

I began this business because I enjoyed reading, and I enjoy having access to downloadable content on a wide range of topics right at my fingertips. What motivates me is the desire to grow my business and soon merchandise.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is being able to touch so many lives with just one click away.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things about being a business owner is the sacrifice and the behind the scene work that others do not see that helps develop and grow the business.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Pray for clear instructions.
  2. Write the plan.
  3. Work on the plan.
  4. Develop your craft.
  5. Go to training, conferences anything that allows you to grow. Even when it does not make sense to you, being a business owner is a lot like being a leader. There are so many unknowns, and that’s okay. You have to be okay if what you thought was going to blow up does not. All I can say is stay the course and trust YOUR process.
