What's your business, and who are your customers?
BROWFRiEND is the first red light therapy device specifically designed to grow thicker, fuller, better brows in 6-8 weeks. BROWFRiEND is the perfect tool for anyone looking to reverse thinning brows or maintain their already bangin' brows, helping users create the perfect canvas to bring out their best look.
Tell us about yourself
I'm one of Chicago's premier brow artists. For years I've heard complaints from my clients about their struggle to grow enough eyebrows for me to work with to achieve their desired brow look. Many of my clients were turning to micro blading or other expensive, unnatural solutions to try and improve their brow appearance. So I set out, along with my co-founder Jen, to find a more natural remedy that was safe, affordable, and most importantly, effective...and BROWFRiEND was born. I'm on a mission to help our customers take their brows from blah to beautiful!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Let's face it, eyebrows are one of the first features noticed. The problem is eyebrows can also be a reflection of stress, hormone changes, illness, or even age taking their toll resulting in hair loss. I'm proud that I've been able to draw from my over 18 years of experience in the beauty industry to design and bring a device to market that truly helps address many of my client's brow concerns.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Remembering to celebrate the small victories. Far too often, business owners celebrate only the "BIG" milestones, but celebrating the "small" victories, allows for much-needed introspection and continued motivation.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Do your due diligence and go for it!
- Persistence beats resistance, keep at it, and you'll find a solution to any obstacle.
- Make the time to work not only "In" your business but also "On" your business. Understand how your daily decisions impact your long-term business goals and plan accordingly.
