What's your business, and who are your customers?
Bronzmopolitan Spray Tan Bar, where spray tanning and happy hour have joined forces! At Bronzmo, we believe that happy hour shouldn't be limited to just one hour. You are making a smart choice by protecting your skin from harmful UV rays and treating it to a custom heated airbrush tan! Tanning the safer way, we say cheers to that!
Tell us about yourself
My love affair with golden skin started in high school when I worked at a local tanning salon. After high school, I went on to receive my license in esthetics and thus began a deeper love of not only golden skin but getting a glowing tan the healthy way. In 2018, after many years in all aspects of the beauty industry, I began my search for the perfect place that would allow me to do what I loved most: educate + interact with incredible clients, all the while helping them feel the absolute most confident in their skin. Boom. There was Bronzmopolitan. I was obsessed and loved working for the previous owner. Fast forward to the end of 2019, my husband and I became the new owners of Bronzmopolitan!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment IS BEING a business owner. I am overwhelmed with gratitude to be able to do what I love every day!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hardest thing about being a business owner would be no days off. Even if I'm not physically airbrushing a client, I am always working and always on! Can't stop, won't stop, baby!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Start now! Even if you don't have it all figured out yet, just start. Time is money that you could be making rather than deciding to just start.
- Be ready for anything wild to be thrown your way. Be open to change and pivot. Proud we survived a pandemic!
- Don't take it personally! There is lots of competition in town! There is enough to go around for all! Be kind and root your competition on. We're all in this together!

Keep going! If you are thinking about starting a business, take the risk and just go for it! What if it works out better than you could ever imagine. You never know until you try! JUMP!
