Tell us about yourself
My diverse background (military, manufacturing, human resources) has been a career master class in the impact of leadership. The world needs better leaders, and what we expect of our leadership is constantly evolving. I love the fact that coaching allows leaders to pull their most powerful inspiration from within. It creates a level of commitment you don't find in standard leadership development instruction.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Making the transition from an employee mindset to one of a CEO entrepreneur. I mean, I've always been very much an "intrapreneur," but creating your own business with ultimate responsibility is just another level.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Understanding and loving the business side of the business. Many coaches coach because it's what they love and feel called to do, but you have to love the process of business as well if you want to be successful.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Remind yourself every day why you do what you do.
- Be flexible and adaptable.
- Find a way to celebrate small successes along the way.
