What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a personal trainer. My services are fitness related; my customers are ages ten years old and up. The majority of my clients are middle-aged men and women.
Tell us about yourself
I am a past collegiate football player. And have always had a passion for health and fitness. I started training about 14 years ago and started my own business out of necessity once COIVD hit due to my past gym laying off all employees. I now make over twice as much as I made before and have hired two trainers as well. I love to help people hit any and all fitness goals. I really love to see people succeed.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Being able to afford to be my own boss. I make enough money for my family, and I love that I make the rules of my own business and I am in complete control of the growth.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Never being able to really truly relax. Having to hustle to continue to grow your company and to continue to maintain your current business and clients. And then trying to find time for your family and then for yourself, wish there were more hours in the day.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Have a plan.
- Have a backup plan.
- Ask for help when you need it.
