What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Find a co-founder with complementary skills yet shared values that you feel you can deeply trust.
- Focus on marketing, sales, and distribution more than on the product or service (but remember that in a services business, in particular, the best way to get new customers is to wow your existing customers, so good customer service is a kind of marketing.
- As soon as you get more than 3-4 people on your team, be intentional about building your culture - your vision, values, and key practices/habits/behaviors. That's hard to change later.
