What's your business, and who are your customers?

I help male coaches and consultants find their dream clients using paid ads without posting or going live every day. Our best clients are building their coaching or consultant business organically. They're spending countless hours making videos, reels, and going live trying to find their ideal clients with little to no results when compared to how hard they're working. We help them eliminate the need to post videos, reels and going live every day. We show our clients how to work 50% less and earn more by creating profitable paid ad campaigns. Coaches & consultants can reach a larger audience and build their brands faster. This will give them the opportunity to operate in their zone of genius and serve others at a high level more often.

Tell us about yourself

I'm from a small town in New York called Massapequa. While in college, I was introduced to the business through Network Marketing. After several years of doing seminars, one on one's, and thousands of conference calls, I found myself online trying to find a better way to build my business. My late-night searches on Google peaked my interest in digital marketing. The first paid ad platform I began to use was Google Adwords. I would generate hundreds of new contacts per week, helping me to grow my business faster with less work. The better I got, the more platforms I learned. Facebook & IG ads are my favorite, and my clients love them too.

Although I'm a hard worker, I was tired of the grind. I wanted more time & financial freedom. Unlocking the art of running paid ads with proper systems in place helped me accomplish that goal. I'm a huge advocate for male empowerment. I decided to build my coaching business by helping male coaches & consultants because I could relate to their stories. They are full of potential and knowledge that can help others get results, but they struggle to speak with enough qualified leads to make the business profitable. I made it my mission to find them, teach them, and help them hit their revenue goals. Breakthrough Kings was born in August 2020, and we've been serving coaches & consultants every day since.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I recall spending a few months testing different messages trying to find my ideal client. I started by helping all men with troubled childhood like me. That didn't work out well because some of the Brothas needed more psychological help than I could provide. I'm a digital marketing coach, not a therapist. I went back to the drawing board and decided to niche down to male coaches and consultants. I went from making less than 20k a month to over 125k in 4 months. I shocked myself, but the best part was/is seeing all the clients launching ads, taking appointments, and closing deals.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Growing a team fit for the culture of your business can be a challenge. Serving more clients each year comes with its set of complications. I was serving about 15 to 20 clients, and it was just me. I was the customer service, sales, coach, everything...haha. I had a few bad hires for my sales team that put me in the red. I was training them, but I stopped taking calls, and my revenue declined. I had to regroup, get back on the phones, and continue to interview until I found the right person for the job. It's easy finding the talent, but do they fit in the culture of your business. I work with hard-working family men, and I needed to find someone who these men could respect enough to say yes to and pay for the offer.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

There are so many things they can focus on, but I believe only three things matter when you're getting your foot off the ground.

  1. Your messaging: You can make a huge impact and make lots of money if your messaging is right. Make sure you know who you serve and niche down as much as possible. I like to tell my clients to go an inch wide and a mile deep.
  2. Your system: Make entrepreneurship as easy as you can. Use sales funnels to build your contact list and automate the initial contact and follow-up process. Using CRMs, funnels, and autoresponders makes it easy to create SOPs (standard operating procedures) you can use to teach others and remove yourself from most of the day-to-day work.
  3. Your ads: You had to know this was coming :) Yes, start advertising right away. When you have solid messaging, you can attract new clients right away. Often times we spend too much time on the setup and not enough time soliciting business. Ads make this possible without the day-to-day hustle and bustle.
