Tell us about yourself
I was born and raised in sunny San Diego to immigrant parents from Mexico who instilled in me to work hard and accomplish my dreams. Not sure they thought my dream would be to run my own business. Safety in my career was always hinted at, so leaving my secure 9-5 to open my own business was a huge step for me. I always knew I wanted more and a place where I could help others in a more natural and holistic way. Seeing the growth of the business and the people that it has touched keeps me motivated each day to be able to be here for many more years and help as many beautiful souls as we can.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment thus far is keeping this baby (3-year-old business) alive! During the difficulties of COVID, especially as a new small business, the fact that we can still be here to help others is a huge accomplishment that I am very proud of.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Juggling it all! There are so many components to being a business owner, in my case, from being the face of the brand, teaching yoga, guiding psychotherapy sessions, janitor, receptionist, marketing manager, and so much more. For me, finding what works, where I can delegate, and really honoring my time off is key.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Find your niche, do your research, set goals, and dive in! Building a strong community is also key in helping support this crazy journey of entrepreneurship.
