We developed Accounting Practice Academy because we gathered so much information on accounting practice management through our work with CPAs to buy and sell firms.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I've been fortunate to serve a lot of wonderful clients. My work has helped me build a good life for my family. I get to enjoy my work, take time off and provide well. What more could a person want?
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Turning it off.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Learn to prioritize. The little stuff can kill your dreams.
- People really do make you or break you, so develop a great hiring process.
- Set Goals regularly. The vision is crucial. (see tip #1).
