What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are a luxury, boutique-style medical aesthetics practice providing cutting-edge treatments and products to a large variety of patients. We care for men and women of all ages.
Tell us about yourself
I am a registered nurse who has been practicing for 13 years. My goal has been to offer an aesthetic experience unlike any other. Personalizing each visit and creating a business that not only provides results but provides support and empowerment is my motivation.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Definitely, our efforts to give back. As a business owner, a woman, a nurse, and an aesthetic provider, it was important that Infinite be much more than a physical location for cosmetic procedures. We are constantly looking for ways to support our community and beyond. We are partnered with FEED projects to help provide school meals to children all over the world, I am a founding member of "Portland Maine Professional Women" for Good, and we participate with and donate to local charities throughout the year. This is by far my greatest accomplishment.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
I believe taking risks is the hardest part of owning a business. It is not easy to take risks with your time or money, but it is necessary for success.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Do your research. Become an expert on the topic or area that you are interested in. Meet with people, find your resources, learn, learn, learn.
- Start slow. Do not start the business of your dreams from day one. Begin with what is comfortable and affordable, then build that into your dream business.
- Work. Owning a business is not easy. It requires a lot of hard work and most of your time. Your payout will be as big as your investment. Hard work will lead to success.
