What's your business, and who are your customers?

Brad Weaber Consulting Group's mission and purpose is to share proven transformative business and strategic expertise to help companies find their voice and build for the future. I work with many different types of organizations in helping them build and execute advisory or ad hoc boards comprised of clients and prospects to harness the true power of feedback on the organization's services, brand, marketing, etc. My clients are made up of associations, corporations, and destination marketing organizations. Additionally, I serve as a keynote speaker, emcee, and panel facilitator/moderator.

Tell us about yourself

I spent 25 of my 35 years in the executive or C-suite in a variety of companies overseeing all areas of the enterprise as well as stakeholder and investor engagement. I realized that four years ago, I truly wanted to do what excites me and motivates me... the power of harnessing feedback through a variety of engagement scenarios. I am motivated each day by my amazing clients and the good work that is collectively done. I truly believe that I am "only as good as my last project," and that helps propel me to attract and retain my clients. I absolutely love all of my clients.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I feel that one of my biggest accomplishments is that my business continues to scale each year and that, to date, I have retained all of my clients year over year. Additionally, opening a business one year before the pandemic pushed me to continue to evaluate my business and make course corrections to stay relevant. Also, I love the fact that the work I do as facilitating advisory boards has helped numerous organizations to thrive through the gift and the art of feedback.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The unknown... but that is actually exciting.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Network with other business owners. Don't reinvent the wheel; ask!
  2. Make sure you have a good support system around you - personally and professionally.
  3. Give yourself some grace, it won't be easy, and you can quickly doubt yourself. Be kind and graceful to yourself.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

There are numerous resources, both online and in-person, to help motivate and guide business owners. Use them!
