Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in business development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Brad Blazar, Founder of Blazar Group, LLC | Capital School, located in Fulshear, TX, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I run a global business called Capital School. Capital School is designed to teach others how to attract, raise, and close HNW investor capital so they can build, buy or scale a business or simply do something bigger in life. Raising capital is one of the biggest problems entrepreneurs and business owners face, and we strive to solve that problem. Today, we mentor and train thousands in 17 countries around the world. Our customers are in many industries and/or business sectors ranging from real estate, theatrical arts, energy space, Ecommerce, FOREX, and more...

Tell us about yourself

I am motivated daily to help change and transform the lives of others. Most people around the world exchange their time for money, not realizing that by creating passive income, they can move towards true financial freedom in life. By using OPM (other people's money) and teaching others how to do this, we are creating a community of people creating wealth for their families. I learned how to raise capital and work with investors at a relatively young age (23 years old), and it allowed me to build a small oil company. From there, I continued and have now raised in excess of $2B through my efforts and the efforts of the teams I've built. I started Capital School when I realized I could be the catalyst in helping make other people's dreams in life of starting a business or having more abundance come true. The testimonials I receive make it all a very satisfying endeavour for my team and me.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I think my biggest accomplishment has certainly got to be being recognized for my accomplishments and getting knighted into a royal order alongside other great celebrities like Paula Abdul, Toni Braxton, Ray Parker, Jr, James Dentley, Alec Stern, Rolando Blackmon, and more... Being knighted and given the royal title of Sir Brad Blazar certainly ranks up there as a major business accomplishment. The recognition is based on a number of honors of merit that recognize professionals who have had tremendous success in one of eight areas, including entrepreneurship, philanthropy, the arts, sports, and more.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

I think one of the hardest things is simply dealing with all those around you that are the naysayers and haters or simply telling you initially that you're a bit crazy to be doing that. Sure, there might be safety in having a secure job and working for others - BUT the rewards are not the same.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Simply get started. Quit procrastinating. You will figure things out on the journey.
  2. Surround yourself with others that will steer you in the right direction. Early on, I hired a business coach, which made a tremendous difference in helping me get where I wanted to go.
  3. Never look back. Commit, show up daily, and never sacrifice what you want. Be intentional in your efforts and constantly be learning.
