What's your business, and who are your customers?

Boso Kitchen specializes in everything from soup to nuts, literally. We make gourmet spiced nuts and vegan soups. Our customers are people who enjoy convenience items that are delicious and nutritious.

Tell us about yourself

I started my business because I wanted to share my love of good food with my local community! Finding things that taste good and are also good for you can be difficult, and I've always had a knack for feeding others.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment so far has been seeing my products on grocery shelves. We recently started supplying a couple of Whole Foods in our region, and it has been wonderful seeing the response!

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things is learning not to let work take over your whole life. Being passionate about growing and reaching more people is important, but so is finding time to see friends and recharge. If you're at dinner, try to avoid looking at your work emails, it's harder than you think!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Chasing perfection stalls your momentum.
  2. Don't be afraid to delegate.
  3. When you find your niche, you'll find your clients.
