What's your business, and who are your customers?

Stress can stop you dead in your tracks. Through stress relief coaching, I help high-achieving women minimize the negative effects of stress so that they can make a bigger impact without sacrificing their health, well-being, or personal relationships. Stress affects everyone. The specifics will be different as we are all unique individuals, but no one is exempt from stress.

A stress response can be triggered by a variety of circumstances, including work responsibilities, conflict with your romantic partner, taking care of the household, feeling a lack of control, perfectionism, a long to-do list, not having the answers, accepting a job promotion, illness, and experiencing job loss. Symptoms of stress can manifest in a variety of ways, too. You might experience feelings of overwhelm, irritability, mood swings, being hard on yourself, difficulty falling asleep, tense muscles, headaches, being distracted, pain in your stomach, and overeating.

Whatever the circumstances or the symptoms, stress can be unpleasant. Plus, chronic distress can lead to a whole host of negative physical, psychological, and professional outcomes such as type 2 diabetes and heart disease, insomnia and depression, job dissatisfaction, and the loss of productivity. So, dealing effectively with stress is essential to your overall health and well-being.

My Stress RESET Program features five science-backed strategies that fit together like pieces of a stress management puzzle that you need to get the life-changing, lasting results you deserve. Using these strategies to RESET your response to stress brings benefits like more self-confidence, joy, productivity, a greater sense of inner peace, a renewed sense of purpose, better overall health, and a reduced risk of chronic disease.

Good news! Just like you’ve upgraded your skills in other areas of your life, with a little time and concerted effort, you can also upgrade your stress management skills. You simply need to start now! To discover how the Stress RESET Program can transform your life, book a free 20-minute consultation today!

Tell us about yourself

Before becoming a coach, like many Americans, I worked long hours in a very demanding job. Unfortunately, I was also mismanaging my stress, eating lots of junk food, not exercising, sleeping poorly, arguing with my husband, and not having any fun. I didn't realize it at the time, but I was unwittingly trading my well-being, health, and personal relationships for success in my career! Sound familiar?

Fortunately, I enrolled in a wellness class offered through the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine, where I learned about an integrative approach to health. An integrative approach to health and wellness recognizes the interdependence of 7 core areas of health, including sleep, movement, nutrition, relationships, resiliency, spirituality, and environment. I was so impressed by the scientific research supporting an integrative approach that I made several lifestyle changes.

After several months of concerted effort, I began to feel better. I lost some weight. I was sleeping better. I felt calmer, rested, and energized. I was feeling more connected to my husband. I was actually enjoying my life again!

I was so happy with my lifestyle changes that I took my efforts to the next level and became a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach. Now, I'm committed to helping other high-achieving women improve the quality of their lives, too!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Through coaching, presentations, and publications, I've helped hundreds of people minimize the negative effects of stress. Nothing is more rewarding than helping people change so they can get more of what they want!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things for me as a new business owner was learning to "wear all the hats." As an employee, I only had to manage one aspect of the business' operations. As a business owner, I'm responsible for all aspects of my business. It takes a while to grow into the position.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Have a business model that will actually make you money.
  2. Get a great marketing strategy and be consistent.
  3. Make self-care a priority!
