Becoming Timeless - Body Epiphanies Massage & Nutrition

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Brandon Trean, Owner of Body Epiphanies Massage & Nutrition LLC., located in Boise, ID, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

My practice is a manual therapy (trigger point therapy, myofascial release, etc.) and nutritional consultation (wellness strategies, thermogenic substrates, etc.) business. My customers are anyone seeking to ascend past their plateau, either structurally or biologically, to come to improve health markers and feel the best they've ever felt with ease.

Tell us about yourself

I got involved with manual therapy and nutritional therapies via intense illness. Over eight lung collapses of spontaneous causes, mercury intoxication, sepsis from a gut issue, etc. I have dived deep into the world of reversing illness and understanding foundational first principles in order to restore wellness. This has lent to a very deep & broad actionable knowledge in restoring health in various conditions from auto-immune, IBD, IBS, chronic fatigue, etc. What motivates me is my never-ending desire to discover the sequences and nuances necessary to help co-navigate people back to a state of high-level wellness. Having been at the bottom of the ocean of hell with my own wellness journey, I am fueled to understand more comprehensibly what it takes to reverse, or at a bare minimum, put in remission serious disease processes.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Helping clients achieve both performance goals, multiple clients coming in 1st in world and national level competitions. As well as wellness goals such as helping clients reduce inflammation caused by auto-immune disease, lose weight, restore metabolism, etc. I have been in business for over 13 years, and it is my clients' results that drive me. I work between 60-80 hours a week at a high level. And am excited about advancing my Wellness Strategies to further give clients the most foundational of understandings in a way that's digestible to restore their health no matter what they face.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

It tests your self-confidence because you're truly on your own for driving success both in client results as well as financials. I love the balance of the business and compassion side of my practice. I have learned very good systems that help the financials that allow me to focus more effectively on client emphasis. I love that the marketplace keeps punching you in the gut until you learn to dodge and become a better strategist. I love that business has been hard at the start cause it showed me who I really am, which is someone with an unbreakable resolve to solve real-world problems, much like an engineer.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Know yourself, above all, what motivates you, and why. Next, learn from your mistakes and view mistakes simply as first impressions that weren't accurate enough, reiterate, and try again to build systems to make your process smoother. Finally, find a way to effectively communicate the solutions/products/services you have to the people who need them the most. Systemize as much as you can, provided it doesn't lead to your clients feeling like they're just a number. Always choose the choice that gets your clients the best results and where you and the company win long-term. Remember, it is always the right time to do the right thing. Profits come from providing a product/service that is not only better than the rest but is filled with a sense of genuinely wanting to make that client's world better, therefore, the world better than if they didn't have your product or service.
