What's your business, and who are your customers?
Bliss Hospitality is a hospitality training and consulting company that offers professional advice and practical workshops for professionals, managers, and other individuals that are interested in progressing within the hospitality industry.
Tell us about yourself
Focusing on micro-credentials skills and training was always something I valued, and I always found myself motivated to help others with their skills, goals, and support. So I started the business to use as a community for anyone that shares the same common interest as me, and I can offer them the resources that our team put together to help.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Creating our virtual hotel and offering our training workshop Opera Cloud PMS, a system that is widely used in most hotel luxury chains around the world.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Time. The more I realize this, the more I realize time is the most important fundamental for any business owner and what you decide to do during that time.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Team - there will always be someone that you know who shares the same interest as you, and if you can trust them, invite them to your project. It's amazing what can be done when you build a team instead of going in on your own.
- Sell - sell as much as you can even if your website or social media is not really strong or visible yet. Focus on the resources that you already have and take advantage of them.
- Research - Do your homework and find businesses that already do the same concept as you and learn everything you can from them. In fact, reach out to them and see if you can join them so you can get all the intel and data to help you start with your own. Always learn from existing establishments.
