What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am in the business of providing an elegant dining experience as a Personal Chef. My clients are families, wives, husbands, children, and anyone who wants to experience delicious food and have fun doing it.
Tell us about yourself
I have always loved being in the kitchen and sharing my love of different cuisines with family and friends. Once I transitioned from the military, I wanted to continue serving in the sense of cooking and being able to spend more time with my family. My wife and kids are one of the reasons I wake up every day and do what I do. The other reason is I love sharing this beautiful gift I have not only of cooking but connecting with people from all walks of life and bringing a little joy and memories to them and their families one palate at a time.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is actually getting started and showing not only my kids and family but myself that I can do it.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
I personally think the hardest thing that comes with being a business owner is not knowing. Also, it's learning everything the hard way through trial and error.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Number one would be to not only get information but put it into action.
Number two, get your EIN and business incorporated.
Number three, get a business account.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
Yes, don't be afraid to fail. Learn from your mistakes and just keep pushing forward because there is definitely a light at the end of the tunnel.
