What's your business, and who are your customers?
My company is called Bib Belts. I designed Bib Belts to ensure women are confident on the mountain, whether they are skiing or snowboarding. Our product cinches your waist on the back of your ski bib pants to create an hourglass figure on your body. My customers are females that are typically 18-35 years old that love to spend their time on the mountain doing snow sports.
Tell us about yourself
I came up with the idea of cinching the back of my bibs about three years ago. I used to snap my hair tie in half before riding and tie a knot on the back of my bibs so that they fit better. I came up with the idea of creating a Bib belt when I got tired of breaking all of my hair ties. What motivates me every day is the fact people are so excited to try my product, and I really just want all of the women out there to be confident when they ride.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is the fact that my product has sold out twice within three months of launching.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
One of the toughest things that I have run into being a business owner is keeping enough inventory and shipping supplies to ensure every customer receives their product on time.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- To be patient.
- Another would be to never give up. I had attempted to start three different businesses before one finally took off.
- The last tip I would give would be to prioritize social media for free marketing.
