What's your business, and who are your customers?

BeYu Wellness is helping busy professionals improve their eating, living, and thinking habits by connecting them to their authentic selves. To be more specific, our customers are corporate employees who are trying to achieve one or more of the following wellness goals:

  • Lose weight and boost their confidence
  • Reduce inflammation and get less sick
  • Implement healthy habits and live pain-free
  • Start or improve a relationship
  • Reduce stress, depression, or anxiety
  • Find their purpose and start a fulfilling career

Tell us about yourself

I am a certified Integrative Nutrition & Health Coach and a Talent Acquisition Leader. At the age of 35, I found myself in a midlife crisis in which I felt very disempowered and lacked a sense of purpose and direction in my life. My diet was triggering chronic inflammation. I was working prolonged hours in front of a screen with a poor posture that was causing lower back pain, my dating life was miserable, and my recruiting career was disrupted by any minor economic slow-down.

I had enough of this and wanted to take control of my life and health. After being laid off for the 2nd time in my career, I started doing intensive inner work, starting with my mindset, then lifestyle and nutrition. The more self-awareness I created for myself, the closer I got to my big WHY. In a short amount of time, I not only went pain-free and regained my health, but I also found my partner to whom I'm happily married with and created a recession-proof stable career.

Connecting to my authentic self gave me a clear vision to balance my life and help others who are going through similar problems that I was struggling with. This is why I started BeYu Wellness. I see many corporate employees struggling with the consequences of poor nutrition, a sedentary lifestyle, and a victimized mindset. Knowing how painful it can be to live with the consequences of poor choices while they are easily evitable motivates me to do what I do and turn around someone's life for the better.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Every business owner has a different measure and definition of success. I evaluate my success by the impact that I make on other people's lives. I feel highly accomplished when my clients have a breakthrough moment during a coaching session that gets them closer to learning about their authentic selves.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Being a business owner brings you the independence and joy of living your purpose. However, it is easy to lose your presence in other areas of life. What I mean by that is that you do not have traditional work hours as a business owner. Even when you are participating in non-work related activities such as going out for a date with your partner or watching a sports game with your friends, your mind is always triggered to be busy creating new business ideas and solving problems. This might have a negative impact on your relationships if you don't act mindfully.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Do what you love.
  2. Do it consistently.
  3. Be Yourself.
