What's your business, and who are your customers?
We make nutrition simple through freeze-dried microgreens products. Microgreens are nutrient-dense baby vegetables harvested around 14 days old and 40x as concentrated in the good things compared to their adult counterpart. Our customers are health-conscious, busy parents and seniors.
Tell us about yourself
I sold software for ten years and was inspired on a trip to Peru, where I discovered the power of plants for their health and vitality. That motivated me to start growing microgreens and helping others connect with plants in their most potent stage.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
In 2021 we won’t be the social impact startup of the year for Colorado. We’re also the first shelf-stable microgreens company in the US.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Self-care. Taking care of myself physically and mentally so I can take care of all my commitments.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Create a plan and work that plan.
- Sell the product before you make it.
- Find a mentor.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
Eat more plants. Plants eat light. When you fill yourself with plants, you’re filling yourself with light.
