What's your business, and who are your customers?
We offer communication training and coaching to individuals, business professionals, corporations, and houses of worship.
Tell us about yourself
I gave a TEDx Talk on "The Art of Effective Communication," that's currently at over 218,000 views on YouTube and climbing. While checking up on the video as it gained traction, I noticed that several college students were commenting on the video. After responding to these comments, I found out that several universities around the world were assigning my TEDx Talk as homework to their students. That's when I decided to monetize the situation and launch my company.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I believe my biggest accomplishment is actually fulfilling a need. My business doesn't want to just make money by any means possible. Communication affects every person walking the face of this Earth, and I have the honor and privilege to help individuals, marriages, and relationships of all kinds succeed and thrive.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Making things happen with a lack of funding. Thankfully, I qualified for $10,000 on two business cards and have been using that money very strategically to launch my company.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Be sure that the area of business you want to focus on is something you can devote yourself to for the long haul.
- Utilize the network you already have.
- Always deliver exactly as you promise, if not more.
