Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in technology and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Beth Lauren, Founder of Well-Tech World Summit LLC, located in Brooklyn, NY, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I'm the producer of the Well-Tech World Summit, a 2-day virtual conference that will bring together leaders in tech and wellness for meaningful collaboration. My customers are practitioners and leaders in femtech, well tech, and health tech, as well as their financiers.

Tell us about yourself

I bring my passion for wellness and collaboration to my two businesses. As the producer of the Well-Tech World Summit, a conference where leaders in technology and wellness will come together for conversation and mission alignment. As an Ayurveda Wellness Counselor, I offer lifestyle and dietary counseling as well as foods that blend healing Ayurvedic herbs and spices with classic Eastern European Jewish foods through my Sangha and Sangha Shtetl brands. The Sangha wellness member's club is in development with plans to open in NY State in 2024.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is credibility. I have been honored to have leaders in tech and wellness who share my vision for this event agree to present and speak.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The biggest challenge has been getting the word out - reaching the right audience and followers. The wellness industry is a 400+ trillion dollar industry, and the field is crowded. You have to be consistent and focused on reaching your audience.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. If you believe 100% in your business, don't listen to naysayers. Other people have their own agendas. Stick to yours.
  2. Find a mentor - someone who has been successful in your industry - who can help shape your business plan and realistically set goals and milestones with you.
  3. Do your homework! Be up-to-date with trends, forecasts, and create a pro forma with real numbers, not fantasy figures you think will entice investors.
