What's your business, and who are your customers?
We bake delicious gluten-free, dairy-free, low-sugar, and certified low FODMAP bars that take a whole lotta BS out of IBS. We are on a mission to normalize the conversation around bloating, IBS, SIBO. Anyone who knows the daily gut struggle is a customer!!
Tell us about yourself
In the U.S. alone, over 70% of the adult population suffers from some form of gut trouble—something I know all too well. But after six colonoscopies, four endoscopies, and twenty-six rounds of antibiotics, I found I was more interested in treats than treatment. Tired of wading through labels and consulting with doctors, I just wanted to enjoy food without fear.
A chef in shining armour, my husband Nick spent countless late nights in the kitchen crafting a gut-friendly treat I could eat without worrying about the consequences—we call it BelliWelli.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Juggling motherhood and entrepreneurship at the same - and loving both!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Self-doubt. Imposter syndrome all day, every day! Does it ever go away?
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Just keep going.
- Be honest about what you do and don't know. Recognize your gaps.
- There is ALWAYS more you can do. Being scrappy is underrated.
