Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Belinda Ginter, CEO of Unstoppable Mindset Inc, located in Oshawa, ON, Canada.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am an international Mindset Expert. I serve entrepreneurs who feel stagnant in their growth. When they hit a plateau, that is when they reach out, and we discover what is blocking or stopping them from continuing to scale and be successful. Using Emotional Kinesiology and mindset, I am able to directly pinpoint what is holding them back; we work on it together so the entrepreneur can continue to thrive in their business.
Tell us about yourself
I left my corporate career 8 years ago when I was no longer fulfilled and wanted more time, freedom with my family, and more creative freedom in my career. I was a born entrepreneur; I just did not give myself permission be become one until after the birth of my two children. Other people's successes motivate me even more than my own success. I love cheerleading others and lovingly holding them accountable to becoming all they can be and living their lives at their peak potential.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My hometown high school included me in their hall of fame, and in 2021 the city I live in voted me the best professional coach.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The amount of personal growth that happens when you become an entrepreneur is something no one prepares you for. I always say Entrepreneurism is the best personal growth seminar that you would never have signed up for if you knew all that it entailed. So much growth and change happen as you navigate life as a business owner. You learn to overcome fears, imposters syndrome, failures, and being visible as you represent your brand... and so much more. But I can also so it all is so worth it; you become a new and improved version of yourself which is very exciting and something you can be proud of.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Start off right by jumping with two feet in; most dip their toes in and wade around in the pool too long without going all in. This can lead to procrastination later in your business ownership; it is better to commit fully from the start to see benefits and grow faster.
- Get a mentor or three lol... you will have a ton of questions and find yourself in situations that you have never encountered, so find some successful business owners that you can take for coffee once in a while to ask questions to as you grow and learn. Having a mentor has been proven to speed-track your success.
- Do not fear being seen as new or a start-up. Studies show most entrepreneurs are not scared of starting, but they are intimidated by what others think of them starting something new. Getting this what other people think about you or your dreams and goals is none of your business. The truth is people are going to talk anyway, so you might as well do what you love and keep your eye on the goal instead of focusing on others.
