What's your business, and who are your customers?

As the founder of Beam Career Coaching, I work with professionals to discover and land a job they love. From setting a career direction to rewriting one's resume, acing interviews, and negotiating the best offer, I help job seekers show up as their best selves to do meaningful work and live a more fulfilling life. I also help employers recruit and retain talent through my creative approach to talent consulting and partners that help manage the sensitive nature of hiring.

Tell us about yourself

Having worked in recruitment for the past decade, helping thousands of professionals land jobs, I knew I wanted to branch out to work 1:1 with clients, advocate for candidates, and empower employees to find more fulfilling work. Its motivating to see how sharing my recruiting knowledge has helped others gain a shift in mindset and how leveraging job-seeking strategies has uplifted them from situations, they once felt stuck in. I love helping candidates and companies find each other and do their best work together. As the founder of Beam Career Coaching, I get to work in my dream job, which is helping other people land their dream jobs!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a Career Coach & Talent Consultant is helping people find jobs, negotiate pay raises and be happier at work! Making a difference in someone's life never gets old.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Working on your mindset and conquering loneliness as a leader and business owner, particularly during challenging times, is a hard thing to do - so do your best to find mentors and friends that make the process enjoyable and rewarding.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Focus on your customer's needs, be adaptable, and find a support network.
