What's your business, and who are your customers?
Blessed By Benny is a freelance Graphic Designer whose customers consist of small businesses, artists, schools, promoters, authors, and community-based organizations that have visions and need help with becoming more visible on social media through promoting marketing material.
Tell us about yourself
I always wanted to win the Noble Peace Award through changing my community in a positive way. I chose music to express my concerns and built a platform for my voice to be heard, but I could not afford to pay for marketing material. This made me quickly realize how many other people exist who also had dreams but couldn't afford professional marketing material to share their ideas with the world. So I taught myself how to design and then created Blessed By Benny to offer affordable yet professional graphic design services to help others birth their ideas.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a Graphic Design was becoming an International Designer in 2022 and partnering with Grammy Nominated Gospel artist Canton Jones.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things about being a business owner is finding low-cost healthcare to support yourself, your family, and your staff.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
I would advise anyone looking to start a business to do research and see if their services and product are in demand, be very relentless when promoting, and become a minimalist so that you can limit your expenses in life until you are bringing in enough income to cover all bills, business overhead, and can start putting away money into savings.
