What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is a Vegan/Plant Based Company that caters to not only food but also natural medicinal healing through herbs that come from the earth. I'm a Plant-Based/Vegan Chef as well as a content creator creating content for all things Vegan/Plant Based.
My customers mostly consist of vegans or people who want to transition to a healthier lifestyle and/or want to heal themselves through the right food or plants.
Tell us about yourself
What first got me to work on my business in June 2017 was losing my mother to Breast Cancer in December 2004. I became depressed and overweight. I was dealing with gastrointestinal issues as well as circulatory issues. I was not happy with how I looked or was feeling. I knew I had to make a change. I never wanted to go through what I saw my mother go through. I went vegan in 2012 & it completely changed my life. It was the best decision I ever made. I lost weight, and within three months of becoming Vegan, all my health issues went away for good. I decided to also switch from an American Standard Diet Chef to a Vegan Chef and also heal the world after I healed myself. It became my mission. It motivated me to see not only the change in myself but in the change I was making in other people's lives. To this day, I still find so much joy in helping people along their health journey.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
One of my biggest accomplishments as a business owner is being able to change people's lives. To see them transition into a healthier lifestyle and find happiness within themselves.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things that come with being a business owner is having to deal with the unknowns, obstacles, and challenges that come every day.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Just start; go for it even if you don't have all the tools or financial means.
- Have unshakable faith & belief in yourself. Never allow doubt to take you off your purpose. God gave you your gifts for a reason.
- Trust the process & enjoy the journey. The good & not so good. Everyone goes through it. The key is to take it moment by moment, day by day & stay in the moment.
