What's your business, and who are your customers?
Bare Roots Energy provides Reiki, Energy, and Meditation Healing to clients who are seeking easy healing, deep energetic cleansing, a better understanding of the body's ability to self-heal, and much more. Bare Roots Energy offers a variety of healings, such as healings through the Crystalline Consciousness Technique (TM), Ceremonial healings, table healings, personalized meditations, mediation coaching, and a variety of products to source and feed your higher self.
Tell us about yourself
My path to healing was catalyzed by my father's will to expose me to the possibility of higher consciousness as a child. Through this familiar environment, I was able to freely explore what the self truly had to offer to my waking life. To hone in on my self-expression, I opened Bare Roots Jewewly, an online natural jewelry shop, in 2009, eventually letting it take a back seat to my teaching career until 2018 when I reopened as Bare Roots Energy, an Energy Healing & Meditation Service.
I currently live in Lawrence, Kansas, and have always called the Midwest my home. I am a mother of two, a wife of one, and a child of the Energetic Source we call the Electric Unified Field of Consciousness. You can learn more about me and my training on my site's about page. What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Opening. Opening officially in 2018 was not only a shot in the dark but an impulsive decision that I wasn't aware that I was sitting on for quite some time. As soon as I opened, the organization and purpose of it followed in a natural flow of synchrony.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Clocking out is the most difficult part of being my own boss. I love what I do and am constantly researching and writing, which are two of my greatest passions. I get the best of both worlds but put way too many hours on the books!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Find a good system of organization.
- Create a business plan.
- Never stop learning how to manifest that goal!

Starting a business is a journey. When things are looking down, turn inside to see what needs to get cleaned up energetically. When things are looking up, give your thanks and give back.
