What's your business, and who are your customers?
Awesome Dynamic is a full-service eCommerce consulting agency. We assist businesses of all sizes with the intricacies that come along with setting up, managing, and selling on Amazon and Walmart.
Tell us about yourself
The transition to assisting businesses with Amazon marketplace and later Walmart marketplace came easily. Awesome Dynamic started as a website development company that specialized in SEO. We took that SEO expertise and applied that knowledge to crafting product listings on Amazon with the goal in mind of attracting buyers using organic search methods (aka incorporating the right keywords into the title, bullet points, description, and back-end system).
From there, we added services like photography and videos, creating Brand Stores and A+ Content, and managing PPC advertising campaigns, to further assist our clients in a growing eCommerce platform. Our goal has always been to ensure our clients have what they need to sell on Amazon or Walmart under one roof. What started out as focusing solely on the Amazon marketplace morphed into adding the Walmart marketplace to our growing listing of services.
Ecommerce is constantly changing and evolving. There is always something new to learn or a new challenge to overcome. It is never dull, and the rewards of having a marketplace account running at its maximum potential is motivating and exciting.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
It has been amazing to grow such a talented team of experts and continue to expand our solutions for clients as the world of eCommerce shifts and grows. We have created a company culture where people enjoy working with each other and share gratitude for exhibiting our core values of teamwork, exceeding expectations, being positive and optimistic, and continuously getting better every day. Our entire team lives and breathes those values daily, which makes us a stronger team overall. Additionally, our leadership team is always seeking team input, which ties hand in hand with us always improving and being our best.
A benefit that has helped our team with a better life/work balance is the 4-day work week we implemented. It’s the best of both worlds because we’ve found ways to ensure we’re always available for our clients while giving our team 3-day weekends. Additionally, our company is 100% remote - and that was before it became popular. We’re proud of how well we operate and how we’re able to continue to be more efficient every day.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Wearing multiple hats and jumping from one thing to another on the fly. You are no longer the employee with a specific skill set. There are so many aspects of business, such as HR, Payroll, Accounting, Financials, Sales, Service, etc., developing an understanding of these and how they work together is critical.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Read or listen to business books, or talk to people that have already solved the problems you are challenged with. There is so much that can be learned and applied easily to make your journey easier. Learn from people who have done it already versus trying to figure it out on your own.
- Constantly focus on delegation and elevation, most business owners get stuck owning a job in their business versus elevating themselves to working on higher-value activities.
- Be persistent in your pursuit to grow your business, and adapt the mindset that you are either winning or learning. There is no such thing as failure because failure is really only feedback about what doesn’t work, so you know how to do better the next time.
