What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am in the business of beauty; I create a safe space for women of all races and ages to come and feel safe to explore their feminine side; my business is all about self-care and dwelling in your divine feminine energy. I retail high-end mink lashes, lipglosses, and application tools for the everyday classy woman.
Tell us about yourself
God motivated me daily; my strength comes from the Holy Spirit that is the only way I am able to do the things I do. Another thing that motivates me is my family. I wouldn’t be here without them. I first got started in the beauty business because when I was younger, I had a vision of my life and how I wanted it to be shaped. I knew I wanted to be in the creative space and thrive; today, I’m doing just that.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment isn’t something elaborate. It’s simple… I celebrate the fact that day in and day out, I show up for my brand. I show up regardless of how I’m feeling; for me is an accomplishment.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The hardest thing for me is being consistent because life throws things at you that sometimes you are not ready for. But wisdom prevails, and you have to keep pushing.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Prioritize time management: this is crucial to running a business; we have to be good stewards of our time because it goes by fast.
- Pray: you are going to need lots of it because entrepreneurs deal with a lot of depression, anxiety, and mental issues, so you have to keep God front and center.
- Be consistent: the results speak for themselves.
