Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Audriana Garcia, a creative online business manager and brand & web designer based in Denver, CO, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I'm a product manager with a design background that works with solopreneurs and small business owners to create authentically aligned brands and efficient business systems. I love making molehills out of mountains.

Tell us about yourself

I grew up in a family of small business owners, so I've always been around the process of coming up with an idea and witnessing all of the work that goes into making it a reality. Being the creative in our family, I was always sought out to design some aspect of a new business. As a college dropout, these experiences provided me with the value and insight I needed to know in order to create a more holistic experience for my clients.

I understand how overwhelming it can be to work for yourself, the many hats you try on, the ever-present imposter syndrome, and figuring out work/life balance. This has inspired me to incorporate a digital wellness philosophy into my practice, where I show my clients they don't have to work as hard as they think to start their biz, and we can create a structure that fits their needs.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Teaching other entrepreneurs how to rebel against the traditional ideas of small business ownership. There is nothing that brings me more joy than showing my clients that they don't have to put in 20-hour days to experience growth and that they can operate their businesses on their terms.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

In my opinion, it would have to be a work/life balance. As someone who absolutely loves building (especially with others), creating boundaries in order to encourage more presence is essential.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Learn as much as you can about systems and automation.
  2. Define your work/life boundaries and stick to them as much as possible.
  3. Stay true to yourself, and the money will always come.
