Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in cosmetics, but not sure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with VinoSpa Noble Skincare, an at home spa treatment and skincare routine.

Tell us all about your business...

VinoSpa Noble Skincare transforms your skincare at home to a Spa. Our products are for every age, skintype and gender. VinoSpa is PETA approved, Vegan and uses all natural ingredients. Our signature ingredient is grapes and wine from our Estate Winery on Vancouver Island. We choose the Pinot Noir grape as it has three times more healing properties than any other grape such as resveratrol.

What's your background and motivation to grow as a business owner?

At VinoSpa we believe there are three pillars to sustainability: Environmental, Economic and Social. VinoSpa takes the nutrient packed lees and skins from wine making for our skincare, ensuring no waste. All our packaging is sustainable as are our practices. Creating VinoSpa was motivated by passion for sustainability and passion for helping people with skin problems using natural ingredients. We had a difficult time finding clean products and so we made them.

As an entrepreneur, what does success ultimately mean to you?

My childhood best friend recently went through Cancer treatment which included radiation and chemotherapy. I gifted her the VinoSpa Noble Start regime. Iris told me that she was directed by her Oncologist that she must prepare her skin before treatment. The treatment would be very harsh on her skin and it must be in its healthiest condition. For 30 days prior to her treatment, she followed our suggested regime. She then underwent Cancer treatment. Iris told me that everyone remarked on how beautiful and healthy her skin condition was. Although she was in a group of people undergoing the same treatment, she was the only one who's skin did not burn. Her skin looked great, felt great, and did a great job of protecting her.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being an entrepreneur?

Time. We have three businesses and I am passionate about all of them. I love to create and often I find myself overwhelmed with all the projects I have going on at the same time.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run or grow a small business today?

Get a good team that includes an accountant, lawyer, and banker, and ensure meetings take place with everyone present. Do a risk analysis. Build your cash flow because you will need a whole lot more than what you think you will need. Don't do it all yourself - there are others that will do it better than you.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Come up with Promises. Your company promise, your customer promise, your investment promise, and a promise to yourself. These will include values and missions. Make a vision board.
