Tell us about yourself

My passion has always been to create space for more happiness for others and balance in my own life. I was a PGA Golf Professional for 16 years and Head Women’s Golf Coach for 13, but when I dreamt up my business idea - I knew it was a hole-in-one.

I started with an idea, then the plan, and then the execution of my company, Assistants 4 Hire! I want to help others create more time for the things they love - whether that be more time for family, friends, and hobbies or dedicating more time to the aspects of business that they enjoy most. My main drive for starting my business was to create a life where I could put my daughter first and build my career around my passion for motherhood. I love that this is the reality I now live in every day, and I love providing the same opportunity for each one of my clients and team members!

In being the founder and owner of Assistants 4 Hire, I manage the responsibilities of my team, as well as provide daily assistance to clients regarding assessment, organization, time management, and training. I also offer business seminars, workshops, and productivity coaching! When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family and friends, salsa dancing, sunbathing at the beach, and yes, I still hit the links when I have a chance.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Making it to my 5th year in business and still scaling and growing!

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

All of the moving parts and roles you have to play. You have to be a manager to a team, a strategist to harvest scale and growth, a service provider to clients, a damage control expert, know your numbers to create consistent money flow, and a salesperson. Sometimes having to do it all can get overwhelming.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Always know what your goals are in mind and make them specific. That can be quarterly, annually, five years from now or ten years from now, or the end goal. And visualize them regularly.
  2. Always keep going even when it feels like you are not going to make it because that feeling can come around more than you would like.
  3. Hire people to do the things you are a) not good at doing, b) are not financially reasonable for you to do or c) are energy suckers.
