What's your business, and who are your customers?
An online shop filled with crystals, dread wraps, intuitive readings, and more! My customers are spiritual individuals looking to fulfill that deeper purpose and meaning we all have in life.
Tell us about yourself
I wasn’t always into spirituality, and for the longest time, I tried to fit in with the crowd, sacrificing my needs and wants to avoid standing out. After really figuring out what I am passionate about, I decided to create my business. It wasn’t always what it is now; I started out with a focus on mindset, which eventually led to guidance through readings and healing with crystals. I’m motivated to help others because I know how easy it is to fall into the mask others want us to wear, sacrificing our passions to fulfill everyone else’s.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I’ll never forget how great it felt to begin getting orders from people I had never met before! Now I really enjoy getting to connect with new people on a daily basis.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Getting started. It’s easy to stay in a place where you’re comfortable and familiar. It takes courage and confidence to get up and change your life; no one ever said it would be easy, and if it was, everyone would be doing it!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
First, I’d get clear on what you WANT to do and be open to growing and changing over the years. Where you start is not where you’ll end. Secondly, don’t quit; it’s easy to put in effort for a week, maybe even a month, but staying consistent for a whole year or more takes some serious dedication! Lastly, don’t listen to what anyone else has to say! So many people will have something negative to say; they might put you down, even say it won’t work, but that’s THEIR disbelief, and that doesn’t belong to you.
