Artyska, founded by me, is a reflection of how I imagine world fashion to emerge from my Indian roots of creativity. Operating from The United States, I wish to introduce Artyska to the world as a brand that amalgamates my native country of creative weavers with the trendy outsets of the western world. Through Artyska, I want to get closer to people across the globe. Artyska helps look beyond cultural differences, language barriers, ethnicity, and local fashion. Artyska is not just about fashion; it’s about a feeling, a feeling of love for every human, a feeling of global unity where everyone can turn their feelings into fashion. At Artyska, I work with a team of creative and positive people who share this vision of mine and who work tirelessly to make this dream ‘Artyska’ come true.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Being able to assemble and train a core team of staff and executives that consistently deliver quality products. Being passionate about doing what I love without hesitation and regret. Being perseverant motivates my employees and me toward success. Being patient and motivating during tough times.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Business is never predictable, no matter how prepared you are. Hiring the right person for my business is still the hardest thing for me. Targeting the right audience has been challenging. Trouble trusting others who want to partner with the business.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Before starting research, research, and research, I did it for one year and still doing it.
  2. Be clever enough to keep costs down.
  3. Be clear with your target audience before creating the products.
