Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Laurie Arron, Founder of Arron Coaching, LLC, located in Dallas, TX, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is an executive coaching firm specializing in providing trusted advice and guidance to C Suite leaders and Chiefs of Staff. My clients are senior leaders who are looking for strategic guidance and support in navigating complex organizational challenges. I love the work, and it's an honor to serve in this way.

Tell us about yourself

I feel like I have been a coach my whole career; they just used to call it leadership. I have been working officially as an executive coach and trusted advisor for senior leadership for several years now. What first got me started in this line of work was my passion for helping people reach their full potential and achieve their goals. I have always been inspired in this way. As an experienced executive and former leader at a Fortune 10 company, I saw a need for high-level coaching and support for senior leaders. This motivated me to start my own coaching firm, which would provide a unique blend of coaching and consulting services to help leaders overcome the challenges they face in today's rapidly changing business environment.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is seeing the positive impact that my coaching has had on the lives and careers of my clients. Seeing them grow as leaders and achieve their goals is incredibly rewarding, and it's what keeps me motivated each day. I consider it a privilege to be on someone's leadership journey and see them drive the impact they aspire to.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things that come with being a business owner is managing the many different aspects of running a business, such as finance, marketing, and operations. It can be challenging to balance these responsibilities while also focusing on providing high-quality coaching support to clients. There's coaching, and then there's the business of coaching. I gravitate to one more than the other. However, I have learned to delegate tasks and build a strong team to help me manage these responsibilities, allowing me to focus on what I do best.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Focus on providing high-quality services or products that meet a real need in the marketplace. Be clear about your value proposition and what sets you apart from the competition.
  2. Build strong relationships with your clients. Listen to their feedback, respond to their needs, and build a loyal, long-term relationship.
  3. Continuously innovate and adapt to changing market conditions. Be willing to take risks, experiment with new approaches (tools, apps, and software), and learn from your successes and failures.
