What's your business, and who are your customers?
Arrive & Thrive is a career education social enterprise. We work with schools and tertiary providers around Australia, supporting young people to develop meaningful careers. We run workshops on career education and personal development to help young people develop skills and mindsets to help them thrive in the workforce.
Tell us about yourself
After working in the careers industry for 5 years, I noticed an opportunity to deliver career advice and education in a way that resonated and engaged the young people of today. I'm motivated by supporting young Australians to find work that they love and thrive in, no matter their education or circumstances. I believe everyone has the right to do work that creates meaning for them.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Being able to support my wife and two kids whilst also giving back to communities in need around Australia and helping young people in the process. We have assisted over 20,000 young people to date!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The buck stops with you. I find myself reflecting a lot on ways we can do things better and ways we can increase our impact or audiences. It can be all-consuming as there is always something to do!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Surround yourself with people who care about you and your vision.
- Be authentic and go about business the way you want to.
- Understand your areas of weakness or gaps and find solutions/knowledge to improve these!
