What's your business, and who are your customers?
I run a new business and growth consultancy. I have two types of clients I help.
- Executives at Creator Economy Tech companies who need help with GTM strategy, new business, partnerships, competitive analysis, pricing strategy, etc.
- Brand and Agency leaders who want to engage and leverage the Creator Economy but need help building the right process, toolkit, and action plan to achieve the results they are looking for.
Tell us about yourself
I launched Ark because the rapid growth of influencer marketing and the Creator Economy has created a highly saturated marketplace of SaaS solutions, all vying for their share of brand, agency, and creator attention. Too many options lead to decision paralysis, and I saw this happening on all sides of the equation. That's when I realized there is a lack of objective, independent voices who understand all of these different, corresponding needs and can connect the dots between potential opportunities.
And that's what motivates me each day. Helping people leverage the creator economy to achieve their business needs. In whatever form that may take. It's a broad mandate, but it's intentional as it gives me the flexibility to apply my knowledge and expertise in a way that makes the most sense for the company I'm helping.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Seeing the impact of my work with clients leads to tangible outcomes. It happens in a variety of ways that range from personal development growth to financial outcomes.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Managing your own time effectively and making sure that you're always working 'smarter' and not 'harder.'
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Have conviction in yourself and your idea.
- Focus on 'why' you're building a business vs. 'what' your business does. (ex. We feed hungry people vs. we're a diner).
- Growth isn't always linear.
