Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in financial services but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Nicole Stanley, Founder of Arise Financial Coaching, located in Denver, CO, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Arise Financial Coaching is an online financial coaching company that helps professionals eliminate financial stress and create financial success without giving up the things they love.

Tell us about yourself

Hi there! I'm Nicole, the founder of Arise Financial Coaching and the creator of the money momentum method. This method has helped hundreds across the globe simplify the way they manage their money to hit their financial goals with ease. I became a financial coach because I want money to be the reason you get to do what you love. Not the reason you can't.

After battling crippling financial anxiety in my early twenties, I decided that enough was enough. I enrolled in my first personal finance course, which changed the course of my life. I went from 30K in debt to building my family of four's net worth to over a quarter-million dollars at 27. No inheritance or shortcuts. That growth was about much more than numbers in a bank account. It brought joy, confidence, and freedom into my life without money or anxiety holding me back. I want this to be your story too.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner has been my client results. After coaching over 475 clients in the past two and a half years, my average client save $5 for every $1 they spend at my company. Happy clients are what I'm most proud of.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Forgetting about what my family or friends from high school thought about my choice to start a business was a tough hurdle to overcome when I first started. Now that I have a successful business, I rarely think about what others think about it. It was all in my head.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Don't DIY everything. Learn to outsource from the beginning. You won't regret it.
  2. YOU are the biggest asset in your business, so don't forget to invest in yourself (doing this changed the game for me)
  3. Have a solid plan for your cash flow so you can stay in business. I see so many business owners lose steam because of the way they manage their money.
