What's your business, and who are your customers?
AriLuxury Collection is a beauty and hair extension business where we cater to all women of color. Our products range from hair extensions like wigs, bundles, closures/frontals, Lashes, hair oils, and hair accessories: headbands, silk scarves, melt bands, etc.
Tell us about yourself
What first got me started in my was back when I was in college in 2017 in grad school. I wanted to make extra money aside from working my regular job. I saw a post on Instagram from a content creator named "Queendom Dynasty" about how she started a hair business with no money. And it got me interested in wanting to get more information. So I bought her eBook and joined her Facebook group. After doing my own research, I finally got started on my hair business. Before, my motivation was seeing how hard others people are with their businesses and the success level they reached in their businesses, but now that I have my son, he gives me the motivation to work even harder to provide the life he deserves.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is still being able to be up and running, and having the same consistent customer coming back is a blessing. I may not be the top-notched hair company, but I'm blessed to be where I am today.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The marketing aspect of my business. It is just me running my business, so I have to make time in my day to come up with some good content and find the right day and time to post.
