What's your business, and who are your customers?
Arete Chiropractic provides gentle, specific, and effective upper cervical chiropractic care for those suffering from headaches, neck pain, and head and neck injuries like concussions. The upper neck is the most complex joint in the spine and deserves a specialist. Arete Chiropractic helps make our patient's bodies a better place to live.
Tell us about yourself
Each day, I am motivated when I see patients return to the lives they love. She is a woman who can now do yoga on her stomach and turn her head right and left without neck pain. After battling dizziness, headache, neck pain, and blurred vision for months, a high school wrestler who got a concussion can now return to play his senior year. Those people are the reason I am passionate about what I do. I found that the best way I can serve patients is to have an office specifically designed around upper cervical chiropractic care.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is to provide an engaging, fun culture for my staff. They are the absolute biggest asset of my business, and I want them to want to come to work! I'm proud of how they feel free to contribute and have opportunities that push them to grow.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hardest thing about being a business owner is the constant feeling of 'never being done. There is always more that we could do to engage with our practice members, reports that need to be written, and ways to improve systems. For a perfectionist business owner, it's exhausting never feeling like you're done!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
To start a business, you need to identify the problem you will solve. To run a business, you have to create outstanding systems that help your business run with excellence and consistency. To grow a business today, you need to get out from behind your computer, actively engage with your community, look for opportunities to collaborate, and have heart and hustle.
