What's your business, and who are your customers?

We are the industry-leading experts in Human Behavior Pattern Recognition & Analysis. A small, agile team of subject matter experts working to mitigate risk. We specialize in assessing, developing, and conducting training and education to address urgent safety and security needs in some of the most challenging environments on the planet. Our clients are military, police, first responders, Fortune 500, and 100 companies interested in advanced critical thinking and situational awareness.

Tell us about yourself

I am a former decorated veteran police officer and soldier. I invented HBPR&A and was the architect of Combat Hunter, ASAT, Border Hunter, CODIAC, and other programs of record for the Department of Defense and various military agencies. I get up every day thinking, "How can I move the dial on safety, security, and advanced critical thinking today?"

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Leaving the beltway to go out on my own. Huge, daunting challenges around every corner. None proved insurmountable. By comparison, creating one-of-a-kind training solutions and saving lives around the world with my training came easy. Breaking contact with previous predatory companies was the hardest challenge I ever overcame. Starting my own business was tough.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Establishing then maintaining your brand. Many will try and copy you, mimic or steal from your ideas - you have to be true to yourself, your brand, and your clients.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Research the market thoroughly before staking your claim.
  2. Take time to hire the most loyal business partners - one's who will dedicate their time and talent to your brand.
  3. Take care of the people that took care of you.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Sense-making and problem-solving lead to better and more timely decision-making. Invest in yourself and your personnel. Training changes behavior.
