Anna Alexander Photography specializes in maternity, newborn, and baby photography.
Tell us about yourself
Having a baby is an incredibly special time in a woman's life. But like everything in this world, things change quickly. One stage is followed by another. My goal is to celebrate this unique and beautiful moment and to preserve it with photographs. I've always loved babies. I have 5 of my own. And I can't stop admiring this miracle of life!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
One of the most rewarding accomplishments that I had through the years is becoming one of the top newborn photographers in my city (being selected and awarded as 3 Top Vancouver Baby Photographers by ThreeBestRated) and having returning clients. I believe in experience. My aim has always been to create an amazing experience which is especially important when you just have a baby.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
As a photography business owner, I had to learn to do many things besides actual photography. The most shocking was to realize that it's about 80% of other things to do besides shooting. Banking, marketing, social media, client communication, editing, etc. You name it! And it all took time and studying to figure everything out. And I have to say it's a never-ending process.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Find your true passion, constantly learn, and know your clients (listen to their needs, concerns, critics, and needs).
