Global Belly is an influencer-led marketplace that allows consumers to shop unique products directly from their favorite influencers. That recipe you loved from your favorite baking influencer? You can buy the ingredients + instructions together and show your support to these talented creators.
Tell us about yourself
I love working with our partnering influencers and creators. Their talent, creativity, and hard work are what keep this exciting. Global Belly serves 100s of creators and enables them to grow and scale their businesses by converting their content into products and services. It is very satisfying to support these individuals, who are all entrepreneurs themselves, and see their dreams and vision come to life.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Successfully navigating both - the challenges to our business, as well as the opportunities to serve our customers in new ways that were presented to us as a business during the pandemic.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
There are no "off" days. You are always working on some challenge. Find ways to deal with the bad days which throw unforeseen challenges - and still give your best.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Be prepared to have your initial hypothesis be proved wrong. And adapt accordingly.
- Find really smart people to work with.
- Build a community and support system that will support you as you run into challenges.
