What's your business, and who are your customers?
I teach artisan pastry and bakery to foodies, small businesses, and entrepreneurs using plant-based ingredients.
Tell us about yourself
I have been passionate about baking and cooking since I was a child. If I could, I would spend all my time in the kitchen! My greatest pleasure is to explore with my students all the artisan techniques and ingredients we have access to and teach them how to achieve amazing results. I love this special time spent in the kitchen altogether.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I think the most challenging thing in a business is to infuse your collaborators with your brand’s purpose and philosophy. My greatest satisfaction is seeing the impact I have had on my team and also on my students. I also learned so much from each and every one of them!
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Dealing with the unexpected can be very challenging sometimes, thinking of the COVID crisis, for instance.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Focus on quality versus quantity.
- Choose an activity you are passionate about.
- Ask yourself how you can positively impact others with your business. A little seed goes a long way!
