What's your business, and who are your customers?
I'm honored to be the founder of Amberd Design Studio, also known as Amberd, a Los Angeles-based design studio that has been offering excellent design, branding, and marketing services since 2010. Our company focuses on developing design solutions that are both aesthetically pleasing and functional. We take pride in being able to collaborate with a wide range of industries, such as e-commerce, hospitality, and fashion. Through strategic and thoughtful design, we seek to assist our clients in achieving their business goals.
Although most of our clients are local, we do offer our services globally. From small businesses to significant corporations, we work with a diverse range of clients. The New York Times, Laque, and SortPak are a few of our top customers. We feel privileged to have been able to support these clients' branding and marketing initiatives, and we look forward to continuing to offer them the best possible service.
Tell us about yourself
Ever since I was a young child, art has captured my heart. Since I was very young, I've always loved to create things and draw. My parents recognized my God-given artistic talent when I was around nine years old and enrolled me in an art school back in Armenia. My skills improved, and my ability to express myself creatively was enhanced by that experience. I switched from traditional to digital art when I arrived in the United States. I discovered that I adored the adaptability and possibilities that digital art had to offer after a small learning curve. I started looking into web design and marketing, which inspired me to launch my own company.
The chance to work on fascinating projects and assist my clients in reaching their objectives is what keeps me inspired every day. I enjoy using my talent and creativity to produce designs that accurately represent a company's image and make them stand out in the field. Observing how our designs affect the businesses of our clients is incredibly fulfilling. Additionally, the team I work with inspires me. We have a fantastic team of talented people who are all enthusiastic about what we do.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Building my design studio and putting together an incredible team have been some of my greatest business achievements, all because of God. I am thankful to have been able to make a successful career out of my passion for design.
But the fact that we were able to provide our clients with exceptional results is what really fills me with joy. We have 100% satisfied clients, and all of the reviews we've gotten so far have been five stars, which makes me very happy. This is evidence of our team's commitment to excellence and hard work, as well as the caliber of our work.
It is so satisfying to know that the businesses of our clients have benefited from the designs we have created. I'm excited to keep developing as a business owner because, of course, there's always room for improvement. But for the time being, I'm incredibly pleased with what we've managed to accomplish and the beneficial effects we've had on our clients' businesses.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
One of the most challenging aspects of running a business is effectively managing my time. My time is being used up by a lot of different things, including leading my team, attending client meetings, and working on design projects. Maintaining a balance between all of these conflicting priorities while ensuring that everything is completed on time can be challenging.
Having to constantly keep up with market trends and new technologies is another difficulty faced by business owners. The design industry is constantly changing, so it's critical to stay up to date on the newest methods and tools if we want to provide our clients with the best work possible.
In addition, running a business requires a certain level of financial acumen. It's important to be able to manage cash flow, create budgets, and make strategic financial decisions in order to keep the business running smoothly.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
For me, these three are what anyone would require to start, run and grow any business today.
- Always do your research. This is one of the first things you do before starting a business. It's important to thoroughly research the industry or business field you want to enter.
- Build a strong brand and website. Your brand and website are often the first things that potential customers will see, so it's important to make a good impression.
- Remember to work hard and stay focused. Organize, prioritize your tasks, and be prepared to adapt to changes when needed. Plus, you must remember to take care of yourself along the way – running a business can be stressful, so it's important to make time for self-care and stress management.
